Crooked
A short film I scored, and rigged audio for, during a 48 hour film competition
To record the audio for this project, we used zoom H4N field recorders, as well as the Audio Technica 897shotgun mic mounted to a Rode pole or mic stand
I scored the project to picture (after the initial visual edits had been done). I worked closely with the visual team throughout the 48 period to create a theme that we felt reflected the haunting and surreal nature of the project. This theme is repeated twice through the film, once at the beginning and the end.
The restrictions of the project allowed me to test the limits of my creative abilities - of my knowledge of field recording, as well as songwriting. This was my first time working on an original score.
