Swoona

With Swoona, my goal was to explore genres and types of recording/production I hadn’t previously. For my previous project, Blue Days, I had a trusted friend and mentor give me some advice on how to mix my music, develop better stereo, and create more dynamics in my tracks. The learning process that was Blue Days became the base of knowledge that allowed me to write Swoona.

Besides some percussion, every instrument was recorded analogue, including the synths. I had never written a guitar driven pop song, and was hesitant to release it - let alone record it. For me this song was an exploration, and I learned a lot from my process, both in terms of writing and production.
